Human consciousness is actively and correctively involved in perception. When simulation allows for meaningful experiences, i.e. when motion sense and time experience are accepted as realistic, it is possible to tolerate and compensate differences between remembered and simulated perceptions. Distracting auto-reflection can be left in the background when linked to the medium. It is then no longer obvious that bodily experience is taking place without a body. |
