The assessment of a situation/simulation is always based on the interplay between visual, audio and tactual/motoric sensory impressions that are compared to the corresponding expectations. By refering to previous experiences, the body is staking its claim in defining the constitution of reality. A graphical interface is experienced by the user as either a sign, his body or the depiction of signs as a result of his bodily functions. The accentuation of reality here lies on the possibility of bodily experience connected to body movement. Even minimal body movement when using a mouse can fulfill the given body expectations although "bodily experience without a body" is taking place.
